The Steak was great but the waiting caused some Ale-ment
Went to a nice dinner at Steak & Ale for a party of six and was greeted by the slowest bunch of wait staff I have ever seen. They moved slower than old people with hip replacements. Our waiter, Justin, was about as pleasant as sandpaper toilet paper and took over ten minutes to bring out the drinks and getting a refill later on required flagging him down like they do in France. "YO! Garcon!"

On the positive side, Steak & Ale does a great job on its steaks and potatoes as I got to enjoy a Garlic Sirloin and a nicely cooked potato with all the trimmings on it. Good thing im not counting points based on that meal. As far as the salad bar went, it was rather skimpy on some of the ingredients that you might see at Sweet Tomatoes which I would expect better quality and selection from a moderately-priced establishment. So my recommendation is go there if you want to enjoy a nice steak with some wine and quiet ambiance, otherwise, you will probably get better value at Golden Corral. - Jason , posted 09/02/07
