Don't be fooled by the tiny photos on the webpage. I can't imagine anyplace better, adorable, immaculate, every comfort is seen to. well situated (just a few small blocks to the train) and it has everything you need (including laundry facilities to get the ash off from the train). This is the type of place you always hope you are getting when you rent a charming little cabin, but seldom do. The kitchen is very well equipped witch is a good thing as there is NO place for a discerning person to eat in all of Chama that we could find. However there is a nice little grocery store so you can come up with nothing and still make a lovely meal. Don't event think about eating at Hi-Country Restaurant & Lounge unless you like rude wait staff (we talked with people at neighboring tables and said it was always deathly slow and surly service). Also the place had not seen a good cleaning in about ten years I think. - Celine , posted 09/13/07 |
