The world-renowned Shimmy Queen, Leyla Jouvana travels from Germany to teach and perform in Albuquerque, NM August 29-31! Discover her amazing technique, innovative choreography, and rich knowledge of Egyptian and Middle Eastern Dance! Her husband, master percussionist Roland joins her this weekend with a Drum Workshop! Leyla offers instruction that applies to all styles of belly dance--her technique is very user friendly and oh-so powerful! An amazing World Dance and Percussion Festival will feature performances of Flamenco, Bhangra, African, American Tribal Style, and of course, Egyptian Belly Dance!
